My name is Liz, and I'm the Stacks Program and Community Manager here at Stack Up. Stack Up is not just a job for me, though. When not working, I'm also actively volunteering for Stack Up, because I believe deeply in the message, the goals, and most of all, the actions behind those goals. Stack Up is about so much more than raising awareness - it is about care and action, aiding those suffering in a moment of crisis while also actively supporting them before and after a point of crisis.
Donations like yours help to fund our programs and help us deliver Supply Crate care packages loaded with the latest games and consoles to deployed units and veterans in need, fund Air Assaults, which are all expense paid trips for veterans to attend gaming and geek culture conventions and events, and more. You can read all about what we do here at stackup.org, and can see our financials here: https://www.stackup.org/transparency
While I never had the honor of serving myself, I have experienced first-hand the power of gaming and the ways in which it can truly save a person's life, no matter how dark the hour may be. I can say with neither reservation nor hyperbole that I would not be here today if not for gaming and the amazing communities surrounding it.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for any help you can offer, whether it be a donation or spreading the word!
